The Body Shop Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Daily Solution | Skin care

TEA TREE!!!  A boon to people prone to acne, blemishes and oily skin. I have friends who have used and recommended tea tree products from the body shop and I have finally decided to give it a try after much consideration. Because having incredibly sensitive skin has made me skeptical about the products that I use.

I suffered from a sudden flare of acne recently that left me with blemishes and I came across reviews that the tea tree anti-imperfection solution works well for blemished skin.

So I decided to give it a try and have been using it for over a month now and thought I’d give a review of my experience with it.

Anti imperfection solution. Skin care

Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Daily Solution is a lightweight, pre-serum concentrate that combats breakouts and improves the overall condition of the skin. After using for a couple of weeks, skin looks and feels purified, clearer, smoother, healthier, clarified, mattified and soothed with reduced redness and imperfections.

Rs. 1595 for 50 ml.

It comes packaged in a white box. The bottle inside is dark green and is made of glass. It has a clear glass dropper with a black rubber cap. The dropper is quite handy as it ensures that you get the perfect amount of solution and prevents wastage of the product. The bottle itself is styled like the old apothecary bottles.

The product is light and clear and glides smoothly on the skin. Since it’s a very light solution it gets absorbed almost immediately without leaving any sticky residue. Also, the fragrance of tea tree oil is very refreshing.

Put a couple of drops onto skin and gently massage until fully absorbed.

It can be followed by another serum if you like or a moisturizer of your choice. It can also be used twice daily.

The Body Shop recommends that the solution can be used as a pre-serum for normal skin and as a serum for people with oily skin.

I use the solution in place of a serum. I love the cooling sensation that the solution provides when applied and I also love that it gets absorbed instantly and doesn’t leave my face feeling sticky. I use it twice daily after thoroughly cleansing my skin and then follow it up with a light moisturizer.

It claims to reduce blemishes and imperfections, DO NOT expect it to work like magic from the very first use. Over time it does reduce the blemishes. In fact, it took over a month for me to start seeing results.

It hasn’t helped in preventing new ones from cropping up. But it does help in quickly drying them out, hence preventing it from leaving deeper blemishes.

  1. Pricing is very low compared to other skin care products from the body shop.
  2. Does what it claims but takes time and patience
  3. The dropper is great as it controls the amount of solution dispensed.
  4. Makes skin matte and non-greasy.
  5. A few drops are all you need.
  6. Fragrance isn’t overpowering.
  7. Provides instant cooling sensation when applied.
  8. The solution does not feel heavy on the face.

  1. Not travel-friendly as it comes in a fragile glass bottle.
  2. Immediate results aren’t visible.
  3. Does not work well at moisturizing (especially for people who have normal to dry skin)
  4. Not the complete solution to your acne woes.

I do love the product and will be repurchasing it. I will try and pair it with other tea tree products from the body shop and see how it works for my skin.

I do recommend this product to people with oily skin that is prone to acne and blemishes.

PS: Do not think of it as a product to stop acne. It works on reducing blemishes not curbing acne.
